The Health Sciences Library's goal is to anticipate, assess and meet the needs of our physicians, healthcare employees, and other staff.

Information in this section applies to affiliated HMH physicians and hospital employees only. For information on library services to the public, please see the Community Health Library section below or contact the library.

LOCATION: The Health Sciences Library (HSL) is located on the 1st floor of the Wingate Building (above the Outpatient Center Dispensary, across from the East Parking Structure.) Directions from Public Entrances

HOURS: The HSL is open to all from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Physicians, Nurses, and Allied Health have 24/7 badge access.

STAFF: Professional librarians are available to assist you during business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.)

COLLECTIONS: Approximately 500 print titles, 134 electronic textbooks, and over 460 journal titles (both print and electronic). Document delivery and Interlibrary loan (ILL) services are available for books/articles not owned by the library.

ILL services are available to physicians, nurses and hospital staff only.

The Huntington Community Health Library (HCHL) aims to provide access to reliable, accurate health information via our print and online collections for the community at large.

LOCATION: The Community Health Library is located inside the Health Sciences Library (HSL) on the 1st floor of the Wingate Building (above the Outpatient Center Dispensary, across from East Parking Structure). Directions from Public Entrances

HOURS: The HCHL is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays).

STAFF: Professional librarians and trained volunteers (Monday & Friday) are available to help you find health information.

COLLECTIONS: Approximately 690 consumer health related books, 70 electronic books/reports, 11 consumer health newsletters/journals and 600+ online videos. Print books may be checked out by patients, their families and Huntington staff. Electronic resources can be accessed at the library or come in during library hours to obtain username/password information for off-site use.

Must be a patient, family member, or community resident for offsite access. May be asked to show proof-of-residence.
