Step 1: Download the AHA eBook Reader app from your device's app store.
Step 2: From your mobile device's web browser, go to https://eaccess.heart.org/login
Step 3: If accessing from offsite, contact us for the username and password to log in or refer to the handout provided by Clinical Education.
Step 4: Under Library select English Provider to find the eBook manual you want.
Step 5: Select the manual and tap Download ePub. Next, tap the green arrow. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the download.
Each web browser and the device used may have different download instructions. Try another browser if you have issues downloading from a particular browser (e.g. try Safari if Chrome does not work).
Step 6: When prompted, tap on "Open in..." and select Copy to AHA eBooks.
If the Open In link does not pop up go to your device's file folder, open the downloaded file, and select open in AHA eBook Reader app.
Step 7: Please log out after downloading the manual(s) so that the next user can access it.
If you receive a message that there are too many users logged in, you will need to try again later. Or access the AHA eBook website from the hospital Wi-Fi.
Desktop Access: The AHA ebooks can also be read (but not downloaded) from a desktop computer. Go to https://eaccess.heart.org/ (login required from offsite). Locate the ebook, and click 'Read' to view the ebook content.

Browsers: If you are unable to complete the download, try another web browser on your device (Chrome, Safari, etc).
How to find the downloaded file: The downloaded ebook file can be found in your device's file folder. It will look like text or code, not a pdf. From the file folder, open the file, tap upload (iPhone users can tap on the box with the up arrow) then select Open In AHA app.
Expiration: The manual will automatically expire after 14 days. If you need to re-download it follow the steps to add it back to the app bookshelf. You may need to delete the app and redownload it.
Step 1: Visit the library's AAP eBooks Collections Page
Step 2: If accessing from off-site, Contact us for the "Institutional Login" username and password.
Step 3: Log in to the site.
In-hospital use requires no login.
Step 4: Find the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation (8th edition) and click on the cover.
Step 5: View and/or download PDF sections of the book as listed under the Table of Contents.
