Prior to earning my MLIS degree, I worked as a registered nurse. Working in a clinical setting has helped to enrich my understanding of the healthcare field from both the clinical and research ends of the spectrum. I feel that the library is an integral part of any hospital, providing patients and clinicians with the tools they need to improve not only patient health but overall quality of life.
